An interactive Acer Journey Experience created for the London 2012 Olympics.
Acer were a Platinum Sponsor for the London 2012 Olympic Games. As such, Acer had a prime position allocated for a three storey pavilion to engage with visitors to the Olympic stadium, showcase new products and provide hospitality for corporate customers.

Acer were looking for an exciting way to engage and connect with an audience of 2.4 million visitors to the Olympic Park in Stratford during the world’s greatest sporting event. Being the major computer supplier for the London 2012 Olympic games, they wanted to showcase the best of Acer technology while tapping into the fun atmosphere of the Olympic games.
Real-time Digital Backbone – creation of a digital network capable of gathering interaction data real time (less than 0.25 secs) and updating local and cloud based database
Visitor Registration – visitor registration on Acer tablets, facial scan/capture mapped to 3D avatar, allocation of unique ID to personal QR Code “ticket”
QR Scanning – design and build of QR Code scanning devices to record interaction with exhibits and drive “live” personalisation of experience
3m Pufferfish Interactive Dome – design, build and content creation for an interactive exhibit – a 3m diameter globe with an internal HD projector delivering a 360 degree experience controlled by 12 Acer tablets
Interactive Running Game – design, build and gamification of an 8 person running game. Each person competing against the others to win a race on a 2.5 long projected running/obstacle course, controlled by Acer tablets
Selfie Infinity Booth – capture Olympic themed selfies
Post-visit Website – all your experiences and interactions were recorded and collated on your own, unique webpage. Data was capture real-time so visitors could review their visit while still at the event
Online Competition – design, build and manage a global online competition to win Acer related products
Acer feed into the excitement surrounding the Olympics and engaged with thousands of visitors interested in emerging technologies. Our solution enabled people to interact with Acer in a unique format that would not have been possible under normal conditions.
